A lot of people have asked about the official rating of Pervert! Actually, only one guy asked me if it's a porno, but I thought it was a subject I should address. Pervert! has not been submitted to the MPAA for an official rating and is therefore 'unrated,' but it is NOT a porno. The whole rating system is weird and full of contradictions, especially about nudity (they're very tough on naked bodies but very easy on violent killing), so we haven't bothered much about it. Jon had the idea to give ourselves a rating of "X," which at first I was against but after I thought about it realized would be kinda cool. What movies are rated X nowadays? Hardcore porn is XXX, I've never heard of anything being just XX. As far as X, I know that 'Midnight Cowboy' and 'Beyond the Valley of the Dolls' were both rated X when they came out, and that's excellent company to be in. But what would the MPAA say? Probably NC-17. There is topless nudity, outrageous sexual situations, wild humor, funny gore, raw meat and a snake. There is no 'insertion' or ten minute close ups of questionable looking people performing the old 'in and out.' I guess I'll just put it this way: If you hate tits, you probably won't like this movie. If you like tits, you will love it! Best, Mike
